Can you help me pass
The scorpion asked the frog
For I can't swim
Across the river bog
At once the frog denied
A sting would be death to me
I wouldn't dare
For I would drown, you see
Hesitation gave way
The frog finally agreed
Scorpion aboard, he began to swim
But he should have taken heed
The sting was swift as current
The frog felt the betray
Why would you kill us both
It's my nature and my way....
This is the fable of the frog and scorpion that I attempted to put to prose. A good lesson in being careful who you trust.
