O’ My Heart Sojourns

O’ My Heart Sojourns

I passed a lovely brook one day

From work I did refrain

Every day since, noticing

I have visited, time again...

It is concealed, with vines entrenched

But there’s beauty in this stream

Flowing free apart from me

I often stand and dream

Steady movement, going past

The rocks do show the wear

Rushing fast, at other times

The ground is torn, unfair...

It passes on, in solitude

My words it will not know

I restrain my thoughts inside of me

But once I’m home they flow…

O’ My Heart Sojourns
